The IX3 project (Intelligent International Industry) aimed to create a chargeless and easily accessible digital learning platform for Finnish industrial SMEs (small- and medium-sized enterprises). The educational platform includes tools for developing intelligent solutions within digitalization in SMEs. The themes for the platform were continuous learning and collaboration between university experts and business representatives.
My responsibility was to plan, develop and create UX/UI Design and Visual Design for the platform. The focus was to design an easily understandable, both visually and content-interesting platform for the small and medium-sized enterprises, who were our main user group in the project. I created the platform in collaboration with the web developer.
Wireframing.
The project started with creating a start wireframe for the platform's landing webpage. The landing webpage aimed to explain in a nutshell, what IX3 project is about, who are the target group for the platform and how small and middle-sized companies could benefit from the platform. The idea was also to present publications made during the project and describe the collaboration between experts from the university and participating companies from the Vaasa region, by using the methods of storytelling.
I created an informative animation of what IX3-project is about (in Finnish). This was part of the user experience plan for the platform. Animation is published in Design Centre Muova's Youtube and IX3-projects digital platform.
